Just a very quick thought rant whilst it’s on my mind and I can quickly commit it to words.
I’m confused.
How are we supposed to reconcile the right to be different with the axiom that we’re all supposed to be equal.
How does that work?
In a race, we can’t all come first. Or last?
Nuts!
It’s conflating fascism (different) with communism (equal).
I think that’s wokeism, in a nutshell, isn’t it?
Now here’s the rub.
If that’s right then, in a kids school running race, for example, where everyone is a winner (or no one is allowed to “win”), and the kid who actually comes last is applauded as much as the kid who comes first, you have in fact shown prejudice to both.
And EVEN IF there is merit in coming last then one has obviously done better than the other.
So in treating them equally, you have taken away their right to be different (and both are, in fact, losers because kids aren’t actually that stupid and both know the fast – or slow! – kid really won!)
It’s an oxymoron and literally a race to the bottom. Why race at all? Let’s just let society stagnate instead, heh.
Making some people feel more comfortable at the expense of other people’s comfort …
How did that catch on?
Thinking face ….π€ …. mmhhh .. making other people feel uncomfortable ….
Now that’s ironic!
So just the same as fascism and communism; no change there then!
